MUMBAI (Web Desk) – Indian actress Nargis Fakhri, whose origins trace back to Pakistan, says that she would like to work in Pakistan a “time when there are divides between cultures and races”.
While Bollywood has welcomed Pakistani actors like Fawad Khan and Ali Zafar with open arms, Nargis feels that it is time, she traveled to Pakistan to work in Lollywood.
The popular actress said to IANS on Sunday, “With Pakistan in my blood, I would certainly look at opportunities to travel there.”
When asked if she would consider working in the Pakistani entertainment industry, she said, “I won’t rule anything out.”
Fakhri, who made her Hollywood debut in Spy last year, and is currently shooting the biopic Azhar in which she plays the cricketer’s second wife, says that she hopes to show that “we are all the same inside and working together is the key to moving forward.”
“I believe that as actors, we have the opportunity to spread positivity and influence people in the same way. In a time where there are divides between cultures and races, I would love to use my position to show that we are all the same inside and working together is the key to moving forward,” she said.
